ENSEIGNEMENT BILINGUE FRANCAIS-ANGLAIS

La technique et la définition matérielle d'un projet servent des objectifs précis de performance d'un bâtiment. Mais par-delà cette fonction triviale, ils constituent le matériau qui permet à un architecte d'élaborer son écriture architecturale personnelle et par là-même de donner du sens à un édifice. De la maîtrise de la structure dans la définition des espaces, au détail architectural cet enseignement questionnera cette dimension de la matérialité.

Les principaux objectifs pédagogiques seront donc:

- Savoir fonder rationnellement, techniquement et culturellement une intervention sur existant.

- Savoir légitimer ses choix de projet.

Material definition of a project serves as the precise objectives of performance of a building. But beyond this common function, it constitutes the material from which an architect works out his personal architectural language and hence gives identity to a building.

This teaching will question this dimension of materiality, from the role of structure in the definition of spaces to architectural detailing .

The main educational objectives will therefore be:

- Knowing how to base, rationally, technically and culturally, a transformation of heritage building.

- Knowing how to legitimize project choices.

PROBLEMATIQUE TRAITEE:

Comment une architecture contemporaine peut transformer un bâtiment remarquable de valeur patrimoniale reconnue.

Le projet portera sur les magasins de l'AP-HP à Charenton-Bercy (anciens établissements de vins spéciaux BYRRH) dont la transformation-restructuration constitue l'un des éléments clés du projet de ZAC en création.

Il s'agit donc d'aborder une situation de projet réelle.

Aussi, le programme sur lequel les étudiants devront travailler est celui d'un un cluster des univers virtuels devant accueillir les entreprises spécialisées dans l'image numérique, programme retenu par Grand Paris Aménagement et qui a fait l'objet d'un Contrat d'Intérêt National.

TRAVAUX REQUIS

- Projet d'architecture individuel ou en binôme

- Recherches documentaires thématiques par groupes de trois étudiants

- Études de cas par groupes de trois étudiants

VISITE DE CHANTIER

Le groupe de projet développera un partenariat avec ADP (Aéroport de Paris) et une visite de chantier de la restructuration-extension du terminal 1 sera organisée avec les architectes et ingénieurs d'ADP.

ADRESSED PROBLEMATICS:

How contemporary architecture can transform a remarkable building of recognized heritage value.

The project will focus on the AP-HP stores in Charenton-Bercy (former establishments of special wines BYRRH) whose transformation-restructuring is one of the key elements of the projected ZAC .

It is therefore a question of approaching a real project situation.

Also, the program on which students will have to work is that of a cluster of virtual universes hosting companies specialized in digital images, a program retained by Grand Paris Aménagement and which has been the subject of a Contract of National Interest.

EXPECTED WORKS

- Individual project of architecture or in pairs

- Documentary and thematic research by groups of three students

- Case studies by groups of three students

VISIT OF WORKSITE

The project group will develop a partnership with ADP (Paris Airport) and a visit of the site of the restructuration-extension of Terminal 1 will be organized with ADP architects and engineers.

A Bibliography will be given to students at the beginning of the semester.
